Trey – December 2010
I came to Touchstone with the desire to die ringing in my ears. I had been diagnosed with Acute Liver Failure and instead of working towards living , I drank, even more focused to ensure that I would die. After, making a decision that treatment was a choice I needed to make. A number of the staff, including the owner, Nonie, and the nurse, Kim, contacted me almost hourly for half a day while I made the fateful decision.
The groups, the counselors, the clients, the total focus is to get ME to accept my disease and to arm me to fight this insidious disease. The experience is both personable and personal. The guest speakers, both AA and NA, are focused and have earned the right not only to be listened, but respected.
The counselors are challenging, and will not tolerate tolerate just getting through a step or just completing some time requirement. Their hearts and souls are into me reaching my full potential and not just getting it, but living it before I leave.
Finally, tending to the animals in the morning and performing Equine Therapy has an amazing healing power. Everything there is about educating and providing us with the tools to beat this sickness.

I highly recommend the assistance of Touchstone Ranch. Not your average experience! These people truly have a gift from God and do care. My life will never be the same after Touchstone and the spiritual aspects that have come into my life. If ever a place or time my life where I can see God’s hands, it was during this time there.
God bless those who suffer.

I am 24, and up until now, I’ve lived a life of crime and drugs. That life got me nowhere. When I went to Touchstone, I made a decision to let go of my old friends, places, and things. When I completely let go of these things and accepted God, my life started changing. The recovery center has shown me how to fit in with society; realizing that there is good and bad in the world and you have to make a choice. I recommend Touchstone Ranch to anyone suffering from addiction. The counselors have the experience to guide you in your recovery, but you have to make the decision to want to get clean.Touchstone Ranch has changed my life and my future. Once a drug addict and now in recovery. I am truly happy with my life today.
Touchstone Ranch is a drug and alcohol dependency treatment center located on a cutting horse ranch near Stephenville Texas. The friendly staff and serene environment makes for a unique experience in your first steps of recovery.
